How to login with NemID code card via web browser or tablet

When you need to log in to a digital service connected to NemLog-in, such as https://www.borger.dk/, https://www.sundhed.dk/, https://virk.dk/ virk.dk, you can still use NemID code card in a transition period.

Everyone with NemID must have MitID eventually. You can use MitID for everything that you have used NemID for, for example to transfer money to online banking, shop online or book an appointment with the doctor.

Even when you get MitID, you must keep NemID until further notice. You should, because during a transition period there may be some places where you still need to use NemID until NemID is finally phased out. You will be notified when you no longer need NemID - either from your bank or from the Danish Agency for Digitisation.

This guide shows you how to log in with a NemID code card via web browser or tablet.

Preconditions

  • You must log in to a digital service, and here you will be asked to authenticate yourself.
  • You must have a NemID code card

Follow these steps

 

Step 1. When you press 'log in' at a digital service the NemLog-in window appears. In the new login window, you now have three different ways to authenticate yourself.

Click the NemID code card tab.

 

 

Step 2. Enter your User ID and Password.

 

Step 3.Clik Next.

 

 

Step 4. Enter key from your private code card.

 

 

Step 5. Please find key on your private code card.

 

 

Step 6. Click Log on.

 

 

Step 7. Choose to log in as a private person or management representative (company identity). A management representative is a person who can represent (authorized, one with subscription rights) an organisation, company or association.

Choose which identity you want to log on with.



2. Log in with NemID code file

Step 1. Click at the NemID code file.

 


Step 2. If you choose to log in with the NemID code file, you must download the NemID key file program. Click on the NemID code file.
