How to revoke a temporary certificate used for digital signing

When you sign a document digitally, via the client Underskrift, a temporary certificate is created.
As a user, you must have the ability to revoke your certificates.

If you revoke your short-term certificates, your signature on the document is still valid since the certificate was active at the time of signing.

Preconditions

1. You have signed a document in the signing client 'Signature' 

2. You have a private NemID or a MitID Erhverv authenticator 

Follow these steps

1. To revoke a temporary certificate, follow this link: (Note that the client will open in a new window)

2. To revoke a temporary certificate, you must log in with your private MitID. Choose Log in

 

 

3. In the Log-in window, select the MitID tab to proceed logging in.

Here you can choose whether you want to log in as a private or as a MitID Erhverv user.

4. If you have previously signed a document, you now have the option to block short-term certificates. Choose Revoke temporary certificates.

 

 

5. The green notification is a confirmation that all temporary certificates have been revoked. Choose Close.
