Login is a solution that has been developed with very high levels of security so citizens, employees and authorities can use it safely.
You can log on by using your authenticators from MitID and MitID Erhverv. This gives a positive identification to the authorities that you are the person or employee you claim to be, while also securing that no one else can log on as you.
What can you do yourself?
As well as the protection we give you, it is also important that you protect yourself. Here are five simple guidelines to follow:
Log off and close all browser windows when you are finished using the digital services that use Login. This is especially important if you're using a shared computer, e.g. at a library or at an Internet café.
Protect your computer with an anti-virus program and a firewall and keep your computer updated.
Never share your username or password to MitID or MitID Erhverv with others - and don't write it down on paper.
Only open programs you trust.
If you have lost your MitID authenticator, ex your mobile phone installed with the MitID app or suspect misuse of your MitID, then you need to block it.

Blocking MitID authenticators
If you suspect that others have had access to your MitID or MitID Erhverv, you need to block your authenticators immediately. You can do this as a self-service at MitID.dk or by contacting MitID support at: +45 33 98 00 10
